I read about this after Kevin posted it on our facebook...  If a bottle went for a grand.... I would buy it if other people wanted to split the cost.  We could all gag on some old booze and celebrate the uniqueness of the taste.

I don't have a strong desire to taste it, but I wonder if the yeast is still viable. The grains used in the original may not even exist from the original recipe, so the best would be to try the yeast with currently available grains.

I think I have collected everything off my vine....  I was starting to get some browning on a few cones...  So, I picked them, no matter what size they were.

Should I cut the vine back now?  Or do ou do that in the spring?

Anybody have any ideas about how to make this board friendly for mobile devices???  I need to pick through the templates and check that.  I know for me... That would be a much better and easier use of it.  I wish it was integrated to look like facebook or twitter does on my phone.  As it is...  This thing is terrible to use on an iphone!
There are a few mobile themes, but currently they are only being developed for SMF 2.0 which is still currently in RC status.

They look nice with the mobile curve a nice cutdown look, there is also one that make it look like an iPhone app. It detects if you're on a compatible device and displays in that mobile mode.

There is also, or was, a project to better intergrate a SMF forum into Facebook, etc.

I've been making soda during the summer. That way I don't have to dick around with contraptions to keep my wort cool while it ferments.

But the orchards are open now. Time to start making batches of Avalon Ale. BTW, Groucho, did you crack that sour Avalon yet?

With both Rangel and Waters under investigation, it won't be long before the Black Congressional Caucus is out there ranting about racism.  Maybe they need another sanctuary city?  I feel for you man - but CA is a great place, it'll bounce back.

Too late

If it's not one thing, it's another.  Now this?

http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/08/02/waters.ethics.charges/index.html

Washington (CNN) -- A House ethics investigative panel has charged a high-ranking Democratic congresswoman with violating House rules by seeking federal financial assistance for a bank with ties to her husband.

According to the House ethics committee, California Rep. Maxine Waters helped arrange a meeting in September 2008 between a bank she and her husband had ties to financially and Treasury Department officials.

Massachusetts-based OneUnited Bank, which was seeking federal assistance, ultimately received $12 million in bailout funds. Waters is a senior member of the House Financial Services committee.

Can we at least get off the mat a little before getting punched again?  And we're about to nominate a new governor in a couple of months in what appears to be a dead-end election.  This sucks donkey dick.
