That's a tough call, G.
This year, I've gotten two offers to join networks. One was Mevio (I passed, as it was bad timing with my mother-in-law passing away and they wanted me to cut commercials and change a lot of things in my show). The other was with an adult-oriented network, which had shows on sex education, swinger parties, S&M, etc. I thought about that one for a while, but in the end thought it would make my show look cheaper than it already is.
They do make money, though. And A&E isn't nearly as slutty as a porn site, etc.

I have not heard back from the rep yet. Not sure what they want to us to do. I thought a commercial per show would not kill us... Our crowd could deal with it!

You know, for all the cheating and separation and divorce that's kind of stamped 2009 for me (many personal friends are having marital problems), I think Adam & Eve is more of a positive than a negative. Maybe if couples explored that side of their relationship a little more, 2009 would have had more smiles and less cries.

Love it! I think it's great because it's actually a well established company. That, and I really want to see what Groucho will do as promo art with the Groucho and Chud faces. Even if we don't go with them as an actual advertizer we can at least make a show out of getting the offer. |
